Start with a consistent income log
Record income earned on your creator platforms or from clients. Save the amount, date, currency and category, and include fees where they apply. Use source names that you will recognise later. VE Vault entries are manual records of money earned elsewhere.
Keep original currencies visible
When you enter income in another currency, keep the original amount and record the GBP conversion used for your reports. If you supply an exchange rate, use one you can check against your own records. A recorded estimate does not exchange or transfer money.
Avoid counting the same money twice
Choose a consistent point for recording income, such as individual earnings or the final platform payout. Recording both as new income can inflate your totals. Review possible duplicates and compare them with the original platform or client record before making changes.
Record costs separately
Add expenses with their date, amount, currency and category. For a monthly cost, create an expense plan to prepare due entries; confirm each expense before it becomes part of your records. A template is not a payment or an automatic ledger entry.
Compare income with time worked
Track shifts and breaks so your weekly summary can compare collected income, expenses, profit and work hours. Income per hour is only meaningful when both the income and hours for that period are recorded consistently.
Review and keep a copy
Check your weekly summary, review uncertain offline saves using their original record ID, and export your account data from Settings when you need a copy. Tracking records help organise your business; they do not replace platform statements or professional accounting advice.
