Cookie Policy

What cookies we use, why, and how to control your choices.

Last updated 3 October 2026

1. About this policy

This policy explains how VE Vault uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, which you can give or withdraw via the cookie banner or the "Manage cookies" link in the footer.

2. Strictly necessary

Session and authentication tokens that keep you signed in; a preference key that remembers your cookie choices; security tokens that protect forms from cross-site request forgery. These cannot be switched off as the Service would not work without them.

3. Functional

Remember preferences such as your chosen currency, theme and dashboard layout. Set only with your consent.

4. Analytics

Privacy-focused, aggregated usage analytics that help us understand which features are used and where the Service can be improved. IP addresses are truncated and no cross-site tracking takes place. Set only with your consent.

5. Marketing

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not share data with ad networks. If this ever changes we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

6. Managing cookies

You can change your choices at any time using the "Manage cookies" link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
